CAPE TOWNS PREMIER VENUE
Shimmy Beach Club is an ideal venue for large scale music festivals and has played host to some of the biggest names in both the international and local music scene. Our stage is structured for world-class sound, lighting and AV production, while the venue can hold up to 2000 people in an open air setup, or under a fully enclosed tent.

MAIN BAR AREA
Stylish and spacious,the Absolut Lounge comes with white leather furniture, a DJ box, intelligent lighting and a pull down screen and projector. The doors open up granting full view and access to the beach. This area transforms into a club after 9pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

ABSOLUT DECK
Scenic outside area, fully enclosed under a Bedouin tent, with side blinds available for changing weather. Adjoining the Absolut Lounge with easy bar access and breathtaking sea views.

ENJOY SUMMER ON OUR MAN-MADE BEACH
The iconic Shimmy beach is designed for relaxing by the pool on a sun-lounger or gazebo with an incredible ocean backdrop. The beach also holds a permanent stage designed for performances by top local and international DJ’s at pool parties and music events. We regret, no children under 12 in the rim flow pool and no swimming after 7pm in general.

OPEN PLAN DINING
An impressive and elegant 220 seater restaurant with a dining-style set up, interspersed with comfortable couch pocket seating. A separate open plan sushi bar and wood-fired pizza oven complete the sea-side restaurant’s ambiance.

OUTDOOR LOUNGE AREA
A spacious, paved outdoor area leading onto the private beach with an infinity pool looking out on to the Atlantic ocean. Full or partial Bedouin tent covering available upon request, as well as DJ and AV setup.

PRIVATE LOUNGE FOR EXCLUSIVITY
The epitome of privacy, the VIP room has its own private bar, private toilets, airconditioning unit, leather furniture and dedicated staff. Ideal for cocktail parties or private events, as well as for use as a meeting room or conference facility.

PRIVATE BAR
A balance of being both private and exclusive, views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Whiskey Room is ideal for intimate gatherings, or for use as a meeting room. Complete with independent sound system and air-conditioning unit.

VIP DECK EXCLUSIVE PRIVATE PARTIES
Situated above the restaurant with spectacular views of the beach, main stage and Atlantic ocean, the VIP deck is available to book as part of the VIP Room, or on its own. A mobile bar, DJ booth and dedicated waiters available upon request. VIP couch pockets available to book during music events.

SUPERVISED KIDS AREA
A jungle gym, ball pit and various kids activities, under the supervision of our dedicated Au Pairs, offers you the chance to relax while your little ones are entertained.
