Steynsburg, a quiet little Karoo Town with a huge heritage, nestles beneath a circle of mountains. It as the birthplace of “Oom” Paul Kruger, and Marais Steyn, after which the delightful old age home is named, and has 2 museums, one dedicated to Paul Kruger.The Guest House is an old 3 bedroomed Karoo style home, built in 1907, with a large veranda on the front and side of the house where one may eat Al-Fresco in the morning or evenings, or drink your sundowner as the sun slips gently behind the mountains that surround the house. There is a pub at the house where you can sit and sip your sundowner or on the stoep.
The house consists of 3 rooms - 1 family room, comprising a queen size bed and a double bed, ideal for families to be together in the same room, or 2 people sharing. The other room has 2 single beds and the third room has a double bed. All rooms have satellite TV, and radio / CD or record player. All rooms have comfortable chairs for relaxing in the evening or sit comfortably in the Lounge / TV room or on the lovely veranda. Tea or coffee making facilities in each room. The lounge has a DVD player for cosy film evenings from a selection of DVD's available at the house. There are also DVD player's in each room allowing Guests to watch in the privacy of their room.
Safe & secure parking available behind locked barn gate.
Small pets are welcome, but are the responsibility of their owners, & not allowed in the Dining Room.
