Ferndale on Republic Mall

The developers, Moolman Group – in partnership with the PHG Group and Braam van Huyssteen, is currently changing the landscape of shopping with the redevelopment and expansion of Ferndale on Republic – previously known as Brightwater Commons in Randburg.
Ferndale on Republic will boast with strong national brands and stores in response to an obvious gap in this densely populated market of 36 000 households surrounding the shopping centre. This mixed-use development improves sustainability and is approximately 53 000 m² in total.

Roughly 23 000 m² of the gross lettable area [GLA] will be used for the community shopping centre, whilst 12 000 m² has been dedicated to office and studio space for Urban Brew Studios.
This project, in contrast to previous endeavours, is a complete redevelopment which will focus, amongst others, on community shopping. Once completed, Ferndale on Republic will be unrecognizable and totally repositioned to benefit retailers as well as shoppers.
