Burst Geyser at your house? Here are the warning signs you should be aware of
Running out of Warm Water
The most typical sign of troubles with your Geyser is troubles with hot water. Most water heaters are 150L-- 200L in size which is a lot of hot water but over time mineral deposits build-up around the heating element, less and less heat reaches the water and the hot water supply declines.
When water does not get heated even after hours, geysers start to leak causing the replacement of heating elements.

Noisy Geyser
If your geyser makes a popping or banging sound, then it is also very common. It also happens caused by mineral deposits in the tank. These deposits insulate the water from heating and the water heater starts to overheat thus resulting in sounds. Causing fatigue and possibly a leakage of the tank.

Cloudy or Warm water that smells
Smelly and cloudy water is also a symptom of a broken water geyser.

Rusting and Leaking geyser or valves and fittings
Rusting takes place when water and the steel body of the geyser react. An anode rod is present in the geyser to protect it from corrosion but due to wear and tear, it will corrode. The corrosive forces will also impact the tank and its connection that will cause leakage and possibly a burst.

Damaged Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve (TP Valve).
Apart from the temperature and pressure relief valve, a Geyser also has a safety relief valve to release the pressure. If this valve is capped off or faulty, the water heater can burst. In case of any fault or failure in any of these three valves, reach out to an expert instantly.

Leaking water from your Geyser.
Leaking water is one of the most common warnings that you should act quickly to upgrade the geyser before a serious loss takes place. If not fixed on time, your whole property can be flooded with water.
