Mule Trail Hikes – Broederstroom

A great hike on the doorstep of Joburg, Rustenburg and Pretoria!

Enjoy the incredible views on the top of the koppie (hill top). The hike is an easy 6km hike starting at the Blockhouse Museum, going past an original 120+ year intact Blockhouse, onto the Mule Trail built by the British Army in the Anglo-Boer War to supply the Blockhouses on top of the Kalkheuwel hill tops.

Enjoy the Points of Interest along the walk, including the ruins of the original Blockhouses and the Sangers built for the gun positions.

Fascinating history while hiking. At the end of the hike, there is a wonderful restaurant serving great food and drinks.
